Not In The World

We went to a family friend’s house the other day. It was their eldest son’s birthday and his parents prepared a small party for him. The part served as a mini-reunion of sorts and I was glad I tagged along. Most of them shared who have been transferred to another town and who among their kids got married. One of my mother’s former colleague at school was there. She was a nun and is currently assigned at a retirement home in Baguio. She shared that there are several who lives in the retirement home that were mothers suffering from illness caused by old age like Alzheimer’s. Then I remembered this website I came across with that offers health care for these kinds of services.

A Place for Mom is proud to be the America’s largest elder care referral service. The website provides comprehensive resources about senior housing and elder care options to seniors and families that are in need of assistance when it comes to taking of their elderly loved one. A Place for Mom provides seniors and families with one-on-one guidance and assistance during this difficult process.

Ache

Been thinking of buying my father a gift certificate from the nearby spa (bet their spa covers are awesome). Or just a massage at the local barber shop. He’s been complaining about his back and waist for the past three days and it’s been giving her a hard time to do his everyday tasks. He’s never had a decent massage in his life and he’s having a hard time agreeing to my proposal.

Hope he agrees. It’ll be good for him.

Greyson Chance

It amazes me whenever a young kid goes out there and share his talent...and end up having signed by one of the greatest talent handler out there. Greyson Chance is one lucky kid. Being discovered on YouTube because of his rockin' cover of Lady Gaga's song, I think this kid will go a long way. He's got amazing set of pipes and a talent in song writing to boot.

10 Days

That’s the number of days we have left to prepare for Christmas. Been bothering my brother on giving me the names of the people he wants to give gifts to and what item will he be getting them. I want to make sure that we will not get the same thing for our aunts and uncles. He was also having trouble with his budget for the presents he wants to buy, so I shared to him a website that grants payday loans online. I only discovered about payday loans online a few weeks ago, and I think it’s a convenient alternative to people like my brother who needs extra cash but is always busy to personally visit a bank and file a loan. He never tried this kind of service, but I told him filing payday loans online is risk-free. I gave him a link and advise him to read the site’s particulars regarding their loans and he seems to ease up. Besides, he knows that he can fully handle transactions like this since he’s really keen when it comes to money and loans. He was really happy to know that there are services like these online. Now, his holiday shopping dilemma is solved.

Rock The Riles 2010

Rock The Riles 2010

RockEd Philippines have been hosting Rock The Riles for the past six years, and every year, it gets better and better. It’s a huge concert featuring the biggest bands in the Philippine music scene contributing their talents for a good cause. December is always the month for Rock The Riles to coincide with the International Human Rights celebration. I only had the chance to attend their 2008 event. Sadly, I will miss this year’s concert because it’s my mom’s birthday.

If you have time, drop by the MRT stations mentioned in the poster and show your support! :)

Sagada Snap

Sagada
I went to Sagada two weeks ago. The twelve-hour bus ride was worth it because I had time to relax and appreciate the beauty of the place. I do not know if the people of Sagada has any idea what compression stockings are, but with the climate that they have where it is cold most of the time, this may come in handy.
